One of our main clients has an urgent requirement for a Civil Design Engineer to be based in Glasgow on a permanent basis, hybrid working offered. This is a great opportunity to join a specialist engineering company working on a range of Water and Utility projects. My client are established in the water treatment and wastewater sectors, they provide solutions using their award-winning integrated planning and design approach to deliver against their projects.
As Civil Design Engineer you will prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables, performing complex research and give recommendations for equipment and materials. The Civil Design Engineer will prepare engineering calculations following standard methods and principles, understand and adhere to projects and actively seek to understand the client drivers.
My client would be keen to speak to candidates with the following expertise:
Person Specification:
- Civil Bsc or Msc Degree in relevant subjects
- Water experience – desirable
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team of internal professionals, and third party asset owners, stakeholders, technical officers and contractors.
- Understand the importance of budget and programme control
- Ability to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities
- Ability to design, plan and organise tasks with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to liaise with internal and external clients to develop relationships across the business.
